CONTEMPORARY RANCH

We were hired to create a contemporary complex at this hilltop site for an extended family and their guests, with varied areas inside and outside for gathering and for privacy.  

With a 4,500 sq. ft. addition and complete remodel of the existing structure, we were able to open up sightlines throughout the property for constant visual connection between the interior and the landscape. Walls of glass doors open the living to the outdoors.  

The new pool house and guest house are accompanied by a sauna, hot tub and infinity pool, and landscaping featuring a terraced food garden and bocce court. 

The buildings and pool will be net-zero energy and net-zero water, and will make use of passive solar principles, two existing wells and rainwater catchment.
