SAN FRANCISCO BASEMENT

This child’s bedroom was added into part of an existing garage of a Victorian house. The challenge was to create space and light for the new room, while working around the existing structure and leaving room for parking.  

We designed a small garden with a trellis and secure gate outside the glass door. The garden gives privacy and security from the street, an outdoor play space for the child, and a view from the room. 

Several other projects throughout the house created better storage, opened up spaces, and replaced previous remodel work that was not in harmony with the style of the house.
