This kitchen was one of a series of projects at this Craftsman home. The owners wanted a kitchen that would be in keeping with the style of their house, very practical, easy for their large family to move through, and visually connected to the back yard.
Walls were removed to combine the former kitchen and utility rooms, in order to enlarge the kitchen, connect it to the back yard, and improve the flow through the house. An informal eating area and stools at a high counter allow the family to easily spend time together in the kitchen. Cherry wood Craftsman-style cabinets fit the style of the house and add visual warmth.
The project was completed on a modest budget while giving the client the visual and functional features that they cared about.
