Our clients asked us to repair, modernize and expand this classic Craftsman bungalow with a second story addition. We replicated existing details such as the deep canted rafters and Craftsman brackets, while opening up a cramped floor plan and updating all the spaces and systems throughout the house and yard. Space was very limited by tight setbacks and other zoning regulations. The design optimizes the use of the limited space with open sightlines and efficiencies in overlapping functions of spaces.

“Such a pleasure working with Alexandra. She is creative, artistic, and thoughtful, supported our interests every step of the way, and was crucial to creating our dream home. She also keeps in touch with a number of contractors and others in the industry, helping us to get bids in an otherwise competitive space. Highly recommend working with this experienced architect.” Client
